The Cultural Center
The Fort Saint Nicolas Cultural Center is a non-profit association under the 1901 French law, located at the Citadelle de Marseille, with whom it shares the conception and production of cultural and artistic projects related to the valorization of tangible, intangible, and natural heritage... It relies on these intellectual productions on the one hand to contribute to the access to culture for people in situations of vulnerability, and on the other hand to nurture the relationships between heritage and citizenship.
In 2024, the Cultural Center partners with the artist residency program at the Citadelle de Marseille, as well as the implementation of associated artistic and cultural education projects.
Finally, it aims to contribute to the establishment of a dedicated community around a shared heritage by supporting the ongoing experiments with the RÉCITADELLE project, led by the LESA laboratory at Aix-Marseille University and supported by AMIDEX.
