Call for applications - Author / Illustrator
Following the creation of the visitor booklet for middle school students entitled "Tracing, Carving, Placing", produced in collaboration with the artistic operator Fotokino and the artist Gala Vanson, the Citadelle de Marseille wishes to invite artists working in drawing, illustration, fanzine, printing, or paper arts. These artists are invited to collaborate with high school classes as part of participatory and collaborative artistic projects. Together, they will create a new paper object exploring their relationship with the diverse stories of the fort and their experience on site.
The first project focused on the built heritage and the restoration work carried out over the past 20 years by the association. For this new edition, the emphasis will be on the natural heritage of the site. The natural heritage of Fort Saint-Nicolas includes its gardens, the rocky spur on which it is built, as well as the flora and fauna that inhabit it. Committed to restoring the site responsibly and in accordance with regenerative principles, the Citadelle de Marseille pledges to give the fort’s natural ecosystems the same attention as its architecture and people.
