Louise Nicollon des Abbayes
The artist Louise Nicollon des Abbayes has been invited to take up a research residency as part of the European REMEDSPACE project. It was the start of a collaboration between the artist, the Citadelle de Marseille, the Population Environment Development Laboratory of Aix-Marseille University and the Domaine des Possibles University, a research and training centre dedicated to agroecology. The artist has been able to continue her research into enamel from industrial soils, which is at the heart of her work, and to build up a body of forms, imprints and materials that form the basis of her ceramic and sculptural work, which you can come and see for yourself.
In 2023-2024, the Citadelle de Marseille will welcome him back to produce an in-situ installation in the gardens of the Citadelle de Marseille, which will be visible when our gardens open in 2024.
