Virgile Haëck
Landscape architect
Virgile Haëck is a landscape architect whose practice lies at the intersection of territorial planning, ecology, and artistic creation. He has worked in France and across Europe on public space design and large-scale territorial projects. Within renowned agencies, he has contributed to major metropolitan competitions, including the transformation of Porte de la Villette in Paris (Michel Desvigne Paysagiste) and the redevelopment of Alexanderplatz in Berlin (Pola Landschaftsarchitekten).
Convinced that the current climate crisis is deeply intertwined with a crisis of sensitivity, marked by a loss of sensory connection to the living world, he sees art as a means to rekindle our attention to our surroundings. Informed by writing and painting, his artistic approach engages with neglected landscapes, fragile environments, and gestures of care. Through context-driven experimental projects, he explores new ways of inhabiting, regenerating, and transmitting.
