The topography of the Citadelle of Marseille, on a rocky spur overlooking the Old Port, and its restoration in accordance with the rules governing its classification as a Historic Monument, unfortunately make the site very difficult to access for wheelchairs and pushchairs (very steep slopes and slippery ground surface).
